Our Green Schools are Getting Greener
Our students and staff participate in environmental action and make ongoing commitments to actively care for God's creation. Whether it is our Plant Department's dedication to reducing heat, hydro and water consumption or one of our schools achieving the stringent EcoSchools certification, we are involved in a wide range of environmental initiatives.
Our curriculum and our commitment to Catholic social teaching reminds students that we need to be ambassadors for the earth…this precious gift that we’ve been given. In the past, we, as a human community, have let negative things happen around the globe. Animals are becoming extinct. There are floating plastic bags in our oceans. We are experiencing global warming. Our rain forests are being destroyed. But, our students are the key to change. They have the knowledge and the power. They understand that every small step forward is a step towards making a difference.
